These stainless steel house numbers are precision-cut from solid brushed stainless steel in the Helvetica typeface — the same typeface used by architects and design professionals worldwide. The result is a number that looks properly considered: clean geometry, consistent stroke widths, and a surface finish that ages well and holds its appearance with minimal effort.

Each number comes with stand-out fixings that hold the character 10mm proud of the wall, creating a subtle shadow effect and concealing the fixing hardware behind the character itself. The kit includes two screws and rawl plugs, a clear illustrated installation guide, and a drilling template to ensure accurate positioning. Numbers can be fixed to wood, brick, or masonry, and are suitable for internal and external use.

Available in two sizes — Large (180mm H) and Medium (120mm H) — and two grades of stainless steel. Standard stainless steel requires occasional light maintenance; Marine Grade offers the highest corrosion resistance and is recommended for coastal locations or any property regularly exposed to salt air.

Care Instructions

Regularly spray a light coat of WD-40 onto the character and wipe off with a soft cloth — this adds a protective layer that helps resist rust and salt corrosion, particularly in winter months.
For Marine Grade numbers, the same WD-40 treatment is still recommended for best long-term appearance, even though the grade offers significantly higher inherent corrosion resistance.
Avoid abrasive cleaning pads or steel wool, which will scratch the brushed finish.
In coastal or high-humidity environments, clean and treat with WD-40 more frequently — at least monthly.
Do not use bleach-based or acid-based cleaners on the stainless steel surface.

FAQs

What is the difference between Standard and Marine Grade stainless steel?

Standard Stainless Steel requires regular light maintenance — a periodic spray of WD-40 — to prevent rust. Marine Grade (Grade 316) contains additional molybdenum, giving it significantly higher resistance to corrosion, particularly from salt air. It is the recommended choice for coastal properties or anywhere exposed to wet or salty conditions.

What characters are available?
