The Metal Frame A Board with Swinging Panel is a heavy-duty pavement sign built from box section steel — significantly more substantial than standard aluminium A boards. The hanging panel suspends freely from the top of the frame, giving the sign a gentle swing that draws the eye and creates movement on otherwise static shop frontages.

The frame is powder-coated as standard in black, white, dark grey, or red. For a custom colour, over 200 RAL shades are available at an additional charge, allowing the board to be matched precisely to a brand palette or shopfront.

The hanging panel is printed to your design and can be supplied blank, with a printed design, or as a chalkboard vinyl panel. Double-sided printing ensures your message is visible from both directions.

Care Instructions

Wipe the powder-coated steel frame with a soft damp cloth to remove dirt and moisture. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Do not use abrasive scourers or solvent-based cleaners on the frame, as these can damage the powder coat finish.
For printed panels, clean with a soft damp cloth only. Avoid anything that could scratch or peel the laminated surface.
If using a chalkboard panel, use only chalk or chalk markers designed for chalkboard surfaces. Clean with a damp cloth or specialist chalkboard eraser.
Bring the A board inside overnight in wet weather where possible to extend the life of the panel graphics.
Inspect the hanging mechanism periodically to ensure the panel swings freely and all fixing hardware remains secure.

FAQs

How is the panel attached to the frame?

The panel hangs freely from the top rail of the frame, suspended by fixings that allow it to swing gently. It is not rigidly fixed.

Can I replace the panel later?

Yes. Replacement panels are available to order separately, so you can update your artwork without replacing the whole frame.

Can I get a custom RAL colour?

Yes. Over 200 RAL colours are available for the frame at an additional £75. The hanging panel can also be finished in a custom paint colour — contact sales@goodwinandgoodwin.com for a price.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Both the frame and panel are suitable for outdoor use. The powder-coat finish provides good weather resistance.

Can I upload my own design for the panel?

Yes. Select the printed design option at checkout and upload your artwork, or email it to sales@goodwinandgoodwin.com after ordering. A custom design service is also available from £50.
