The Wooden Plywood Light Box is Goodwin & Goodwin's most sustainable light box, handmade in our London workshop from sustainably sourced birch plywood. The natural, unfinished frame is ready for you to personalise — paint, oil, stain, or dye it to suit your interior — while the front face can be left blank or printed with your own full-colour design using our in-house UV digital printing technology.

Low-voltage LEDs illuminate the sign evenly and efficiently, with a lifespan of up to 40,000 hours. The graphic panel is changeable, so you can update your design without replacing the whole unit.

Available in landscape or portrait orientation across five sizes from A3 to A0, as well as a 50×50cm square format. Custom sizes are available on request.

Care Instructions

Wipe the plywood frame with a dry or very lightly damp cloth. Avoid saturating the wood with water, particularly if unsealed or unfinished.
If you have painted, oiled, or stained the frame, follow the care instructions for your chosen finish product.
Clean the face panel gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that may scratch or cloud the printed surface.
Keep the cable and plug away from water and check periodically for signs of wear.
For internal use only — do not install in damp environments or locations exposed to rain.

FAQs

Can I supply my own artwork?

Yes. Upload your file at checkout or email it to sales@goodwinandgoodwin.com after ordering. Files should be supplied at 300 dpi minimum in PDF, TIFF, JPEG, EPS, or AI format — PDF works best. We will send a proof for approval before printing.

Can I order without a printed design?

Yes. Select the blank light box option at checkout and the unit will be supplied with a plain white opal acrylic face panel, ready for you to apply your own vinyl or graphics.

Can I finish the frame myself?

Yes — that is by design. The birch plywood is supplied unfinished so you can paint, oil, stain, or dye it to match your space. Any standard wood finish is suitable.

Can I change the graphic later?

Yes. The face panel is changeable. Contact us at sales@goodwinandgoodwin.com to order a replacement printed panel at any time.
